4 years ago I was at my heaviest, 268 it took me 1year to get down to 220. Diet and exercise worked for me to help lose the weight. I tried for another year to get lower than that. Trying fancy Diets, Starving myself, I thought I tried everything.
I went to join a gym and the young lady asked what I was looking to gain. I told her I was looking to lose weight not gain. She introduced me to Brent, he was a trainer at the gym. I was reluctant to sign up at first but after talking to him and sharing my thoughts with him I decided to give it a shot. I started with 5 sessions. He started with the basics weights, cardio and Nutrition(food). After about 3 weeks of listening to him, doing what he suggested and working out with him once a week I could see results on the scale. I was losing about a pound a week and it kept coming off. I was also building muscle at the same time. I was getting stronger and building muscle and in about 6 months I was under 200#. 198# to be exact.
I began my sessions with Brent 2 years ago. I have gotten a lot stronger and have put on a ton of muscle. He keeps it interesting. I get bored easily and told him that from the beginning. He always changes it up to keep me interested. He encourages me and lets me do what I need or want to do and understands that you will have set backs and helps you realize why those occur. He coaches you to be a better person and helps you accomplish your goals without being degrading about it. I am 46 and it is a lot tougher to lose the weight now that I'm older but with his help I know I can be where I want to be. It does take effort and hard work. I've been heavy my entire life. It is a lifestyle change but Brent makes it easier to obtain your goals.
